Everything a community needs to meter, bill and collect
Pick the modules that fit your society. They all share one set of unit records, one resident app and one dashboard.
Prepaid electricity metering
Pay first, use after — so the society is never left carrying unpaid electricity dues.
How it works
Each flat, shop or office gets a smart meter that is read remotely. Consumption is charged against the unit's prepaid balance at the tariff your society sets, and the balance is visible to the resident at all times.
- Low-balance alerts by app notification before the balance runs out.
- Rule-based supply control — disconnection and reconnection follow the policy your committee approves, including grace periods and holidays.
- Fixed charges and slabs — per-day fixed charges, sanctioned-load charges and slab tariffs are all supported.
- Postpaid where needed — some units can stay postpaid with monthly bills, in the same society.
Grid + DG dual-source billing
Backup power is expensive. Bill it accurately and separately.
When the society switches to DG backup, consumption is recorded against the DG source and charged at the DG rate. Residents see grid and DG usage side by side, so there's no argument about who used what during a power cut.
- Separate tariffs for grid and DG, each with its own fixed charges if required.
- Combined or separate balances — one wallet for both sources, or two, depending on how your society bills.
- Source-wise reports so the committee can reconcile DG fuel costs against what was recovered.
Maintenance & common charges
Collect maintenance through the same app residents already use for electricity.
Maintenance can be billed as its own subscription, or combined with electricity so residents keep a single balance. Each subscription can be prepaid or postpaid.
- Per-area or flat-rate maintenance, with different rates for flats, shops and offices.
- Rent-only units — shops that pay only rent can be billed without electricity.
- Receipts and ledgers for every charge and payment, downloadable by residents and the RWA.
Resident app & online recharge
Self-service for residents means fewer calls to the maintenance office.
The SmartCommunity app is available on Android and iOS, with a web login for residents who prefer a computer.
- Balance and daily usage — grid and DG — with history and trends.
- Quick recharge through secure payment gateways using UPI, cards and net banking.
- Bills and receipts available to download at any time.
- Family and tenant access — owners, tenants and family members each get the right level of access.
- Complaints raised and tracked directly in the app.
Society dashboard & reports
The full picture for the committee, facility manager and accountant.
- Collections — recharges and payments by day, mode and unit.
- Consumption — society-wide and unit-wise, by source.
- Attention lists — low-balance units, disconnected units and meters that haven't reported.
- Role-based access — committee members, facility staff and accountants see only what their role allows.
- Exports to Excel for audits and AGMs.
Helpdesk & complaints
Every complaint logged, assigned and closed — nothing lost in WhatsApp groups.
Residents raise tickets from the app. Your facility manager sees them first and resolves what can be handled on site. Anything that needs us — a meter fault, a payment that hasn't reflected — escalates to the SmartCommunity support team under agreed response times.
- Two-tier support — on-site team first, central support second.
- Status updates to the resident at every step.
- Ticket history for the committee to review service levels.
